ABOUT US

St. John’s College Junior College was founded in 1952 as a post-secondary institution offering programs that are generally the equivalent of the first two years of a four-year baccalaureate programme. The Junior College consists of the overall body of students and faculty who are overseen by the dean.



MISSION


St. John’s College Junior College is a Belizean, Catholic, tertiary institution in the Jesuit Tradition. Through its commitment to God, academic excellence, humanity and service, St. John’s College Junior College aims to foster an atmosphere of respect, growth, and spiritual awareness that will promote the development of multifaceted individuals who love and care for themselves and others, their environment and their community. St. John’s College Junior College offers to traditional and non-traditional students an education that challenges the intellect and fosters the development of men and women in the service of others.

Mission and Identity is a shared responsibility at SJC Junior College. Recognizing that holistic development of students requires coordinated effort and multiple approaches, Mission and Identity is infused in all areas of college life. Offices from which Mission and Identity programs, services and activities derive include the Student Affairs Office, Campus Ministry Office, Academic Affairs Office, Academic Departments, Dean’s Office and President’s Office.
